SUICIDE SQUAD
THIS MOVIE SORT OF KILLED ITSELF
BY GABRIEL JAGGERNAUTH ON THE 10TH AUGUST, 2016
Suicide Squad is the third movie in the DC Extended Universe, and is based of the DC Antihero team of the same name. In the film, Amanda Walker, leader of a secret government agency forms a team consisting of villains Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo and Killer Croc. While this movie could have been considered a bit better than Batman vs Superman, it still killed itself off with a complicated plot and not giving equal attention to each character.

Suicide Squad gave its characters excellent backstories annd characteristics and their portayers portayed their characters exceptionally well. However, as the movie continued, more attention seemed to move from the entire team to Deadshot, Harley Quinn and to a certain extent, El Diablo. It was extremely hard to notice that Captain Boomerang and Killer Croc was even in it. The Joker's acting was probably the best one in the entire movie.

Suicide Squad had an amazing story to tell but did it in such a poor manner with a complicated plot. It was enjoyable, but a bit confusing. It was hard to follow every single detail. Flashbacks, however, were a nice touch.

Suicide Squad was still enjoyable, but lacked a few things such as character equalization and plot simplicity. However, it does make up for it by giving characters such unique characteristics and backstories and providing a bit of flashbacks. We say the movie is a 50/50. Able to appeal to some, can't please them all. It gets a 5.0/10 in our books.
