NOT SO CRITICAL CRITICAL REVIEWS
WE ARE CRITICAL, BUT NOT SO CRITICAL

TAK3N (TAKEN 3)
BY: GABRIEL DOMINIC JAGGERNAUTH (24TH JANUARY 2015)
Taken 3 was definitely a similar experience, but not too much the same as other movies. Taken 3 focused on the murder of Bryan Mill's EX-wife, with him being falsy accused, and he is now trying to prove his innocence. Seems familiar. There were a few bumps we faced with the movie.
Taken 3 was rated PG-13, but to us, some things seemed to make it worth less than what it was really rated. It's action scenes were a little less than what we had hoped for, and it was clear to see that there were some special effects used, and no, we do not mean explosions. It was clear to see that the trailer flipping in one of the scenes was a fake, as well and the car going through a hole in the parking lot. Gun exchanges seemed limiting, though this did help add to suspense, because the audience may be thinking of his next move. The only thing making it PG-13 rating worthy was it's vulgar language... mostly done in Russian... with translation.
A running gag that occurred during the first parts of the movie was the inspector eating the bagels that Bryan bought to carry home for a "meeting", prior to his ex's murder, and it seemed like a little less that great reason for him to believe that Bryan was innocent, but it did add to a small bit of hilarity. What did make it a bit worth it was the view of findong out who did it.
This movie was not really "a lost cause". There was a great bit of action, humor and suspense, but it fell short in a few areas. We want to give it a 4.7 for its effort and effects on the viewer, but it seemed like a poor excuse for a PG-13 and looked like the end for the series.
If they do plan to produce a sequel, we hope it may do better next time, and learn from its previous films.
