FINDING DORY
A MOVIE YOU WON'T WANT TO FORGET
BY GABRIEL JAGGERNAUTH ON 25TH JUNE, 2016
The aquatic trio from the original Finding Nemo Movie is back and better than ever after about a decade, and this time, make their way to California in this awesome sequel to the original. Finding Dory takes the attention from Nemo for a bit to focus on the forgetful Dory, on her search to find her parents after remembering for the first time the events that separated her from her family. Marlin and Nemo accompany her and Dory makes a bunch of new friends along the way.
Finding Dory has a lot of changes from its original that contributes to its success. For one, the movie focuses more on the destination rather than the journey, which is actually a good thing. The trip to California is reduced to a ride on the currents from Crush and Squirt (Remember them?) and it focuses more on the Marine Life Institute more than anything else. Also, this time around, in terms of hero and sidekick roles, it actually is not vice versa. Marlin is not Dory's sidekick. Rather, Dory finds herself a new partner at the institute, Hank the seven tentacle octapus trying to go to an institute in Cleveland. This is a welcome change as Hank's personality is one to enjoy throughout the movie.
Throughout the movie, we get a glimpse of Dory's past through the use of flashbacks as Dory remembers things throughout the movie. This is a prety nice thing to have within the movie as we get a look of Dory's origin and what happened to her before she met Marlin. We even saw when they met from the original movie. The movie's non stop movements were also entertaining. If it wasn't action, it was drama, emotion and heart. Something quite entertaining whether you're 5, 15 or 50.

Finding Dory was definitely an entertaining experience and I think I may visit the cinemas to see it again. It earned an awsome 8.5/10
