CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

THE BEST WAR IN THE WORLD

BY GABRIEL JAGGERNAUTH ON 25TH MAY, 2016

Captain America is the final movie of the Captain America Trilogy,  and appears to be a major part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Before I continue, if you haven't seen this movie yet, check out the following first to understand this one better:

1) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Several references are made to this movie)

2) Avengers: Age of Ultron (A few references are made involving this movie)

3) The Iron Man Trilogy (Some other references are made here)

4) Ant Man (You'd be surprised what you can discover from watching that first)

Captain America: Civil War features several members of The Avengers (Specifically: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Halkeye,Falcon, War Machine, Vision and Scarlet Witch) along with other characters from the Marvel Universe, including Black Panther, Ant Man and Spider Man.

In the movie, the Avengers are divided into two factions when an accord is to be passed that the team will be overseen by a UN panel. Stark supports this, while Rogers does not. To make matters worse, The Winter Soldier *Wink* goes on a rampage due to a brainwashing. Captain America is aware of this brainwashing and sides with him, thus further dividing the team.

Captain America: Civil War has been proven to be one of Marvel's finest masterpieces. From the storyline, to the character choices as to those in the "Civil War". The only scene with barely noticeable CGI has to be the first scene, and after, I couldn't tell when it was used. Also, Chris Evan and Robert Downey Jr.'s performances were top notch, and brought the script together quite nicely. Spider Man and Ant Man's appearances made the fight scene even more memorable. Which was more awesome; Ant Man's newly discovered growth power or Spider Man's off the chain humour? We will never know because both of them were just too awesome. Captain America: Civil War was one of Marvel's best pieces of work, and with the next lineup of movies in the MCU, we cannot wait to see what is to come next.

Captain America: Civl War deserves an 8.6, and that is what it is given.
